Grilled Spicy Prawn & Pineapple Skewers

  • 550g - 600g raw prawns

  • 80ml Olive Oil

  • 1 1/2 tbsp paprika

  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 1 large pineapple cut in to large chunks

  • 4 limes quartered (for garnish)


  • Soak eight wooden skewers in water for several hours. (This will minimise the burning.

  • Stir together the oil, paprika, pepper flakes, and salt. Add the shrimp and lightly toss until well coated.

  • Run skewers through the shrimp and pineapple pieces.

  • Wrap the exposed ends of the skewers in foil to prevent burning or catching fire.

  • Grill at a medium heat until the shrimp turn pink and begin to curl. (Approx 2 to 3 minutes per side.)
