What Happens in a Body Blast Class?

UpFit Body Blast is where the results happen! This class combines strength, HIIT (high-intensity interval training), and cardio exercises into fun activities for a full-body workout guaranteed to burn fat and sculpt muscle. This class will get your heart pumping, make you sweat and challenge your muscles but most important of all, this class guarantees a good time, lots of support and many laughs. In this class, you'll be coached as a group but also individually. It's like a group personal training session. You'll do your own version of the workouts, to your own level. If you can't do a sit-up or press-ups and you are still not sure what a burpee is, DO NOT WORRY! This class is suitable for complete beginners and those with less mobility too. Your instructor has you covered and will show you exactly what to do.

The session starts with a warm-up to get your heart pumping and muscles ready for action. Then you'll start on the strength section. In the strength and conditioning part of your session, you'll learn how to use the best technique and form to get results. Maybe you'll work on developing the perfect squat or start working towards your first full press-up. The ladies that attend Body Blast quickly start getting stronger but also move better, in a way that is most effective and takes care of the joints and bodies. These skills transfer into their other UpFit classes and everyday life. You'll be amazed at how quickly your ability and confidence increase.

After a quick rest, it's on to the HIIT section of your session. A short firey blast of exercise to build your fitness, torch calories, and put your body into EPOC mode (excess post-exercise oxygen consumption). This will keep your body in fat-burning mode well into the next day.

Last but not least you will complete a short core section, working the back, bums and tums. Important for building a super strong and healthy mid-section. Throughout the whole class, your coach will talk you through everything and demonstrate the moves at varying levels. With their guidance, you will be able to find movements that are suitable for you - achievable yet challenging. You'll get tips as you go on how to improve. Injuries can also be catered for in these sessions with modified exercises. The instructor will walk you through everything you need to know how to do - It's just like having a personal trainer. All you need to do is have a go and have fun.
